Obviously you have understood, that the job of an Anti-Mormon is to misrepresent or to pervert the Mormon doctrine or to give a false color. They take a claim of Mormon doctrine and make a silly story of it. Joseph Smith had indeed spoken of Colob but not in the way that Anti-Mormons claim.
Joseph Smith had indeed spoken about the theosis, but in a sense as Irenaeus, Clement of Alexandria, Origen, Justin Martyr, Hippolytus, Athanasius, Augustine (AD 354-430), or Jerome (AD 340-420) did it as early Christian sholars. Anti-Mormons make this doctrine ridiculous without knowing anything more about it than their silly lies, like an Atheist, how makes Christian beliefs ridiculous without being interested in the truth.
